Performance Analysis of Hybrid UAV Networks for Probabilistic Content Caching

Caching content in small-cell networks can reduce the traffic congestion backhaul. In this article, we develop a hybrid caching network comprising of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ground base stations (SBSs), where UAVs are preferred because their flexibility elevated platform for line sight. First, derive association probability user affiliated with UAV SBS. Then, successful delivery by considering both intercell intracell interference. We also analyze energy efficiency compare it separate networks. further propose scheme to improve managing popularity, part capacity each SBS is reserved store most popular (MPC), while remaining stores less contents. Numerical results unveil that proposed has an improvement 26.6% performance over MPC caching, which overlooks impact diversity during caching.
